Study On The Traffic Ways Of Fuzhou And Its Bus-Transition

Urban transport, an important part of urban infrastructure, is related to each citizen’s life and work. The condition of the city traffic affects the sustainable development of social life and economy. In the context of urbanization and motorization, the road and traffic in the cities is facing unprecedented pressure. Public transit priority is a new concept to solve urban traffic problems, which has already been proved to be effective by many cities in the world. It can effectively relieve the traffic congestion, environmental pollution, heavy energy consumption, etc. Here, I choose Fuzhou as an object of study, under the guidance of sustainable development, the concept of green transportation and priority to the development of public transportation policy, to find out the methods of the sustainable development of the traffic in Fuzhou. Thereby, it can contribute to urban socio-economic sustainable and harmonious development.According to the above concept, I take the methods of questionnaire survey, field research and interviews to collect the related materials about traffic, especially, the public transportation in Fuzhou. I analyze on the characteristics of the Fuzhou residents’ travelling ways and factors that influence, and on the basis of which to analyze the Fuzhou residents’travelling ways of the bus tendency, and meanwhile I analyze the current situation, the problems existing of public transportation in Fuzhou, the necessity to priority develop the public transportation and the policy superiority. Finally, I give the advices on how to take the priority to develop the urban public transportation.
