In the industrial power system, the power quality is serious decreased because of most of the load is produced reactive power. It is not only affects the operation of equipment, but also caused power network pollution.This study based on the various methods of reactive power compensation,and using the industrial load which can always produce a large number of higher harmonic, voltage wave, voltage flicker and three-phase unbalance as research objects,such as rolling mill, electric arc furnace, electric railway and industrial frequency induction furnace, etc. In this thesis, the key technology of the valve Block components for the high voltage static var compensation devices, including the calculation of serial valve Block parameters, the design of the circuit for the low voltage pulse forming board (VBE) and high voltage final stage trigger board (TE),and also design the optical fiber communication channel.The high voltage thyristor series valve Block is designed for the power users whose transformer secondary side is10kv voltage level.The core of low voltage pulse form circuit board is TC787, which is a trigger three-phase shifting integrated circuits with high-performance thyristor.After compare synchronous voltage signal with power factor controller phase shifting from the voltage signal, six trigger pulse signals are created by the TC787, to control the high pressure thyristor series valve Block.This part will be not only appropriate for the TCR system, which utilize thyristor adjusting inductance to compensating reactive power,, but also appropriate for the TSC system, which utilize switching thyristor switched capacitor to compensating reactive power.The power of high voltage final stage trigger board (TE) is achieved by current coupled and voltage coupled, thyristors are protected by the Break Over Diode(BOD) in order to improve the reliability The optical fiber communication channel is achieved by optical transceiver device HFBR-1412and HFBR-2412,realized the isolation between high and low voltage.The simulation experiment is done on the low voltage pulse form circuit and high-voltage final amplifier circuit. The results show that the demand of the valve Block components for the high voltage static var compensation devices is satisfied by the designed circuit and achieving the desired objectives.
