At present, the industrial enterprises general use shunting capacitors for reactive power static compensation in our country. Because the static state compensation equipments cannot dynamically follow the electrical network reactive power changes, it causes that our country power grid long-standing exist the following problems: the lacking reactive power of transmission and distribution grid, the reserve capacity of reactive power seriously insufficiency and unreasonable, as well as lacking of the nimble adjustment ability reactive power compensation equipments and so on. Along with the electric power electronic technology fast developing, plenty of impact loads have been put into operation, which causes the voltage fluctuating and flickering and causes the lowing power factor in the low voltage electric network. It immensely effects normal operation of equipments. So there is an urgent need of dynamic reactive power compensation installation to fasttrack the reactive power changes of impact loads.In this paper, an investigation is given for industrial enterprises of Chongqing Yubei District, which exists two mainly questions for using capacitor static compensation equipments: firstly, because of inherent shortcomings of the capacitors static compensation, it often presents over or less compensation and cannot fast compensates the reactive power of power systems. Secondly, the selected method is unreasonable. These two mainly questions cause that the reactive power compensation equipments of industrial enterprises cannot play a important part in regulating power systems voltage and balancing power systems reactive power and increasing the power factor.As for the question of capacitors static compensation equipments un-tracking the changes of the load reactive power, this paper uses MATLAB soft for imitating the site conditions of some industrial enterprises of Chongqing Yubei District, and a research is given for using the Static Var Compensator of thyristor switch capacitor instead of the static compensation equipments. Simulation results show that the Static Var Compensator can achieve the objectives of dynamic compensation for loads.As for the question of the unreasonable control method, this paper regards the Fixed Capacitor and Thyristor Control Reactor type of Static Var Compensator as a research object. First it discusses the load condition of the enterprise, and reasonably determines the capacity of Static Var Compensator. Secondly, a mathematic model is established for the controlled object, Then an optical nonlinear PID controller is designed, which uses simple accelerating algorithm for optimizing the parameters of PID controller in order to make the optical control performance of systems. Finally, a simulation experiment is given for the Static Var Compensator based on the optical nonlinear PID control. the simulation results demonstrate that the designed control algorithm is correctness and can fasttrack the reactive power changes of impact load.
