Frame scaffolding, as a unique new type of scaffolding, compared with the traditional steel tubular scaffolding, is special for its mechanical characteristics. Due to its speed of erection, ease of construction and management, it is blessed with some economic advantages, so it can be applied in many aspects broadly. It is of practical significance to conduct the experimental study and theoretical analysis. On the foundation of the existing three-span and six steps of the whole frame experiment, the main contents of this dissertation focuses on the mechanical performance study of frame scaffolding, and the methods of combining the experimental study with theoretical analysis are as follows:(1) The experiment study of sleeve joint is carried out, and the mechanical performance of the joints is analyzed, theM-θ fitting curve and fitting formula of two kinds of joint have been gotten, and the results show that the sleeve joint has semi-rigid characteristic.(2) By introducing a spring element to simulate semi-rigid joints, the corresponding three-dimensional model by the commercial finite element software ANSYS has been built. Results of the analysis and test compared with the verified correctness of the model, and second-order elastic-plastic stability analysis proved to be a more accurate method of calculating the bearing capacity door-type scaffolding.(3) Based on the numerical model, the main factors of the door-type scaffolding such as cross bracing, horizontal reinforcing tube, diagonal bracing, tie member, joint stiffness, the initial defects, the height of the scaffolding are analyzed, both the buckling mode and the ultimate bearing capacity. Then summarize the different effect law on the two types of frame scaffolding of MF0817and MF1017, and give some guidance based on the engineering practice.
