The Urban Narrative Spatial Research Of Macau Peninsula

The degree of urbanization in China currently is more than50%and the urban future development is coming to a fork in the road. The way of so focusing on immediate economic interest that neglected or destroyed the soul—loading urban space texture has been opposed furiously, but the problem besetting designers for a long time is how to excavate and develop urban cultural notion to achieve the unity of culture and space.This article aims at using the research method of urban narrative space to study Macau Peninsula, exploring and constructing the spatial structure of both material and cultural space and considering the local features and historical foundation to be the reference and basis to guide the urban construction.The article can be divided into four parts.The first chapter are following:including the research background, the basic theory, the current research, the research methods and the research significance.The second part of article includes the second chapter and the third chapter aims at mostly determining historical development stages and corresponding map selections of Macau Peninsula, and then apply the five elements theory to determine the scope of the research.The third part includes the forth chapter to the sixth chapter, the main content is to study narrative space of Macao Peninsula with the map superposition method, to indicate narrative elements of various periods in the corresponding urban history map and study their visible range and get the distribution situation of urban visible range in various periods, then analyze their visual structure and overlay visible range of all historical periods, and obtain the visible range of urban diachrony. Next, indicating the various urban events elements in the map and analyzing narrative space structure of urban events. At last, overlaying the visible range maps of each urban period and various urban events maps to get the overall urban narrative space structure. To study the superimposed intensively areas in the overall structure and then grasp urban narrative space structure and characteristic in two perspectives of macro and micro.The fourth part is the conclusion summarizes and extracts the characteristics of urban narrative space construction for Macao Peninsula and points out the guidance meaning of national urban transformation with the narrative space research.
