The issue of uneven settlement of the subgrade has been the quality problems existed in highway construction, it’s also a problem that engineering and technical personnel have been committed to research and seek to solve. During the course of highway construction, particularly the construction of subgrade, will encounter different geological conditions. It’s also under the influence of various external factors, so how to ensure that roadbed and subgrade slope stability is the key to keep roads free and its normal use. On the basis of theoretical analysis, this essay combines with Wei-Jiu Road construction of a bentonite roadbed to apply study, and analyzes and summarizes the formation mechanism of the embankment differential settlement types and the main factors of bentonite. It also selects appropriate treatment measures to ensure the overall stability and strength of the roadbed and the embankment slope. The essay use the large-scale finite element software ABAQUS to simulates settlement deformation of the foundation and use the numerical simulation to provide an adequate basis and the basis for the project application for more in-depth analysis. This article mainly includes following content:(1) It makes a brief analysis of subgrade uneven settlement types and sets out the causes of uneven settlement of foundation problems in detail, summarizes and presents several calculation methods of uneven foundation settlement. Finally, it analyses the uneven settlement prevention measures simply, with a view to play a positive role in the practice of engineering later.(2) The bentonite distributes widely in our country, and applies in the agriculture, the industry as well as the casting industry domain by its unique nature. Precisely because of these merits, the bentonite encounters recklessly excavating as the roadbed foundation bentonite, giving rise to differential settlement of the roadbed. This article unifies the Wei-Jiu Road to analysis the fissure of the road, then proposes the practical and feasible solution, and monitors the effect after the plan been implemented. Finally, it indicates the plan’s feasibility. (3) This article analysis the roadbed differential settlement question which in the Wei-Jiu highway construction process, encounters the actual situation according to the construction in, proposed the solution, and carries on the monitor as well as the ABAQUS value simulation after the plan implementation effect. The research indicated the processing effect is good, can satisfy the Uygur for nine groups later periods the operation requirements.
