The eighty’s of the last century, China’s highway construction has entered a climax. Design and construction defects, highway water damage problems that had plagued the highway construction and maintenance work.This article through to the Weifang provincial trunk local investigation, summed up the country road drainage facilities existing major water damage diseases, through theoretical analysis and numerical calculation, test and application of combined technology, on Weifang highway pavement drainage design and drainage application of new materials are studied, through the application of new materials, reduce highway water damage. This paper presents the drainage facilities damaged common characteristics, and analyzes the existing defects of pavement drainage drainage and development mechanism. The combination of domestic and foreign standards, on the pavement drainage facility layout optimization; the new geotechnical drainage materials were classified and presented on material hydraulic performance requirements; the soft pervious pipe, plastic material, the water permeable geotextile and composite geomembrane four typical materials were conducted to study the performance of. Finally, in large and provincial road shouguang paragraph laying drainage test section, set the pavement edge drainage system and through the drain pipe of hydrological analysis and hydraulic calculation, determine the diameter and arrangement spacing and a drain pipe materials, and puts forward the draining tank laying geomembrane anti-seepage reinforcement construction project. After two years of observation, according to the observation results, the new drainage material in highway drainage facilities in evaluation, showed the new drainage material of construction is easy and reliable performance brought by the remarkable effect.
