With the rapid economic development, electricity consumption increased dramatically, especially during the peak period, the generator supplies the electrical energy has been far fromsatisfying the needs of users across the country have launched a TOU policy to ease the tensionin the peak period of electricity, protect the community’s balanced electricity, is of greatsignificance. Accordingly, the power meter, must be reformed to adapt to the realization of thecurrent national price policy as a tool for energy metering. For the above situation, this paper gives the design method of a single-phase multifunctionenergy meter, ensure that the electric energy on the basis of precise measurement, an increase ofreal-time power monitoring, multi-rate period energy balance sheet, long-range wirelessdatatransfer and other functions to achieve the rapid collection and analysis of information onusers of electricity power sector in order to be adjusted accordingly to ensure the rational use ofelectricity. Single-phase Energy Meter is modular in design, the main modules: the currentsampling module, voltage sampling module, dedicated energy metering chips, central processingunit, power supply module, clock module, LCD module, an external storage module, the relaycontrol module, the remote wireless communication module. The current sampling module, voltage sampling module, dedicated energy measurementchip, power supply module is the collection part of the energy metering, analog circuits, powerconsumption is converted to the pulse signal; central processing units, clock module, LCDmodule, an external storage modulerelay control module, remote wireless communicationmodule is a function extension of the single-phase multifunction energy meter is a digital circuit, the pulse signal acquisition by the central processor is responsible for circuit design follows theprinciples of analog circuits and digital circuits to be dealt with separately.
