In recent years, to improve city image and the urban environment, water systemlandscape planning and design has become the hotspot and focus of many waterfrontcity planning and construction in our country. However, because the integrated theoryresearch in urban water system landscape planning and design is comparatively less,some errors appeared in the process of urban water system landscape planning anddesign construction, which brings some adverse impact to the city and the health of thewater system sustainable development. So, the integrated research on urban watersystem landscape planning and design appears extremely important.This article will take the northern city, Liao cheng, in the aspect of water systemlandscape planning and design as the research object, which is divided into six chapters.In the first chapter, it mainly expounds the research background, content and themethod, and the practical significance and the main tendency about the internationaland domestic urban water system landscape planning and construction. The secondchapter is about the relevant theoretical concept of water landscape planning anddesign. The third chapter is on the description of the present Liaocheng water systemlandscape. Great research about the present water system landscape of Liaocheng isdone respectively from the angle of natural water system landscape, history culturallandscape, and modern humanistic landscape. The fourth chapter analyzes theformation process of Liaocheng water system landscape, values the status of landscapeobjectively, and points out some problems, because of the present water systemlandscape planning Liaocheng, existing against the sustainable development of the cityand water system, such as water system ecological safety, shore wall, road sclerosis,waterfront architecture and some problems like the distance of the line. Chapter5is onthe problem solving, which puts forward some tentative measures by the sustainabledevelopment assumption of Liaocheng’s water system of landscape planning anddesign. It points out that the urban water system landscape planning and design shouldbe based on sustainable development, landscape ecological safety, and historyinheritance and innovation as the design concept to respect nature, reveal regional,appropriate design for the principle. At the same time, we should apply the thought of"antiplanning" theory to the construction about the ecological infrastructure of the citywater system. Chapter6, as a conclusion, points out that the urban water systemlandscape planning and design request the designers to have a long-term strategic vision and anti-planning ideology. The urban water system landscape planning andconstruction should be subject to the ecological safety of the water environment, inorder to achieve the sustainable development of the city and water system.
