As the development of the development of society and economy, and the improvement ofproduce automation, more and more devices run by electric are used for the life and produce.We become more and more reliable to electric energy. In industrial power supply system, wecould improve the reliability of power supply system, we also can strengthen monitoring ofthe important load power. At the same time we can grasp electric energy metering (accordingto the peak, valley, the usual period of electric energy) and measuring standard. So that wecan arrange the production reasonable, which can reduce the power consumption cost and theproduction cost of enterprises, with the premise is we know the work of power supplyoperation condition. In addition, There is new challenge for the enterprise power supplysystem, electric energy quality analysis of power system and electric power distributionsystem management level must be improved. To the enterprise, there are to many electricdevices that it’s hard for human to manage, because the enterprise are become greater andgreater in size, and modern management mode is also a important reason. And the complexityof electric energy management is beyond the ability of man itself, we can only rely on thecomputer technology if we want to realize electric energy management automation, withwhich we can manage and supervise the using of electric power.This paper firstly introduces the electric energy manage system development backgroundand present research situation, and then introduces the whole structure of the system andsystem’s monitoring parameters related and then some protection functions used in the system,and also the system software and hardware equipment related.The electric energy management system was developed by VB software, its functionincludes data collection and analysis, fault recording and other functions, we discusseselectric energy management system based on VB interface design by descripting thecharacteristics of Visual Basic software development tools and VB Ethernet communicationcontrol and VB control technology of database.In the paper, we introduced the system interface design structure and the main interfaceand each sub window interface design, also the key problems of interface design. The paperdiscusses the system communication protocol and the communication program design,background SQL Server database design and operation. Finally, the paper summarized severalkey issues of the main station software design, and deficiencies in the system research process,discussed the development direction of energy management system is the future.
