The Study On Design Of Kitchen And Toilet Of Affordable Housing In Guangzhou Under The Mode For Home Care Of The Aged

Aging society in China has come,with a great aging population and a highly progressedrate.Until the social institution has been perfected,the mode for home care of the aged will bea main endowment way in a very long time.Affordable housing in Guangzhou is a kind of commodity housing under the ensuringpolicy,which is provided for middle or low income family with a limited constructionstandard.Currently,the construction of affordable housing in Guangzhou is staying at theinitial stage,not yet forming the standardized design for people in different age.Kitchen andtoilet are the space that having complex fuction and high intensity.The aged living in theirown houses spend a long time in the kitchen and toilet everyday.Because of the translation ofphysical skills,the adged have their special behavior characteristics and living demands.Nowthe kitchen and toilet lack of the care for the adged,as well as the shortage of the design,whichcan not meet the special demands of the adged.This thesis is put forward under the background above,linking with other relatedknowledge such as the psychology of environment and the behavioral science.It sets out ofthe special behavior characteristics and living demands of the adged.According to the researchof the design of affordable housing in Guangzhou,it provide better design modes,in order toapproach economy,practicality,comfort and universality.Lastly,it aims to provide a safe andcomfortable environment for the home care of the aged.This thesis is composed of four parts.Part1is an introduction of the purpose,the value ofthis research,the current research in China and abroad,and the background of affordablehousing in Guangzhou and the living pattern for the adged,by definding the research objectand boundary.Part2is the summary about the development of kitchen and toilet design inGuangzhou during the past30years,as well as the current characteristic of kitchen and toiletof affordable housing in Guangzhou.Part3is the conclusion of the shortage of the design inaffordable housing in Guangzhou for the adged,by analyzing the use of evaluation anddwelling expectation.This part is based on deep investigation,questionnaire and interview.Part4is the suggestion of better kitchen and toilet design mode in Affordable housing inGuangzhou. Drawing on the successful experience in china and abroad,this thesis hope to provide a reference for improving the quality of living for the adged.
