The train control system under moving block which is an advanced train control system can increase the operational efficiency. The automatic train protection (ATP) subsystem which is an important subsystem of train control system under moving block can interact with other subsystems, and implement the train operation security-related features, so as to ensure train operation safety. On the basis of analysis about structure and functions of the ATP system under moving block, the train space-interval under moving block is analyzed and simulated in this thesis.The main contents are below.According to the technical norms and standards about communications-based train control (CBTC) systems which can implement moving block, the present situation of research and application of train control system under moving block is analyzed and summarized. By comparing the structure and functions between CBTC system and train control system under moving block, the overall structure and functions of the ATP system under moving block are shown.According to the frame structure and functions of the ATP system under moving block, the structure of its simulation system is modular divided, and the composition and function of each module are analyzed. According to the basic conditions which are summarized and should be met by degraded mode of the ATP system under moving block, ATP simulation is taken as the backup mode of ATP system simulation under moving block.On the basis of the analysis of the train space-interval under moving block, the relationship between the safety protection distance of current train and the emergency braking distance under the current speed of its track train is studied. The train space-interval model under moving block is created, and the model is simulated under the condition that the trains speed and line slope are considered only, and the error of the results of the model is smaller than the actual.The train running interval protection algorithm under the hit a hard wall mode is designed and simulated according to the train space-interval model has been created. The results indicate that under the hit a hard wall mode, the train operational efficiency is decreased under the control of the algorithm, but in cases of emergency, it can make the train stop safely.
