Creating Night Time Men’s Activity In Urban Nightscape Design

Along with the rapid development of Chinese cities, night life is gradually common in human’s life.Nowaday, people need more for the use of urban pu blic on physiology and in mentality. This demand has been no longer satisfied with the so-called "More brightly Engineering" to create a simple lighting environment, but from the safety, comfort, aesthetics and cultural perspective on landscape environment to put forward higher requirements. Therefore the domestic main city had been increasing the intensity of night lighting environment, and nightscape design study has become the important topic of environmental art design field.This paper analysis on the relationship between human behavior at night and urban public space. And mainly adopts the combination of theory and practice of comprehensive research method and inductive and contrast method.First, make the comparison of the history of city residents on night life and modern development. Modern city nightscape should not only conform to the modernization development, but also inherit the Chinese traditional characteristics.Second, analysis on the relationship between human behavior at night and urban public space, and proposed the special needs of nightscape for people’s night activities. Taking Guangzhou as an example, make understanding with the residents of the city of Guangzhou night life style, aesthetic feeling and expectation, elaborated the layout and theme of Guangzhou Zhujiang nightscape design.And then probes into the build of behavior in nightscape planning from four aspects——lighting division, traveling line organization, regional culture and lighting technique. This text view of proposition and conclusion can offer reference method for the development on urban nightscape, and also support materials a bit around improving quality of residents at night.Finally, paper make the horizontal comparison with characteristic of Shanghai, Hongkong, Hangzhou, Sydney and Guangzhou, and make the result of advanced experience and achievement of nightscape environment in some cities. Looking to the future, these results all has the very big enlightenment function on development of nightscape design of China both in technology and concept.
