| Atrium space of the shopping mall is the area that contains varieties of environment elements and behaviors. It’s complexity and diversity, and it’s also a reflection of the changing world. In the study, the designer’s viewpoints always play the main role on the design. The user’s requirements are missed.In this paper, three examples in Dalian are chosen for the research by the method of environment behavior, and they are New-Mart, Peace plaza and Roosevelt. Questionnaires, observation, interviews and recording are the methods of collecting information. SD curve and SPSS statistical software provide the help of processing data. The analysis contains five parts, and they are the composition of users, environment elements, the requirements of people, the evaluation of using and the sense of environment. According to the analysis, the paper describes the try strategy from six aspects, which are age and sex, focus on the requirements for the design of environment elements, multi-level vice atrium space design, reducing the space crowded, keeping the air environment and enhancing the sense of security.In the course of the research, the subjects are all in north area of China, so the conclusion may be different in the other climate area. Most of the subjects are young people, and there are few considerations for other age groups. |
