As one of indispensable infrastructure in railway system, rail affects the safety and smoothness of the rail transport directly. Under the effects of dynamic action, natural erosion and its own quality defects, damages could generate in the rail like flaws and abrasion and without timely maintenance, the damages could worsen the performance of the rail, which lead to short life-span, more maintenance work and cost or even accident. Large scale road maintenance machine like rail grinding train can improve the damage caused by natural wear and slow down the worsen speed of the rail. Rail grinding and related technologies were regarded as an important part in the foreign high-speed rail maintenance work.Rail grinding operation is achieved by grinding trains, the domestic MTRC are importing rail grinding trains, the rail grinding trains of China’s high-speed rail are produced by the introduction, digestion, absorption of foreign-related technical. Some related knowledge and technology are reserved by this for the rail grinding trains localization.The less stable of the small grinding car is analyzed in this article. The anti-derail stability of the small grinding car is researched in the rail grinding train. The multi-body dynamics model of PGM-48is established, and the stability of the small grinding car and the suspension parameters about the stability are analyzed.The results indicate:1. The dynamics performance of PGM-48rail grinding train is good Under self-running working condition. The anti-derail stability of the small grinding car is bad in grinding condition and the derailment safety is less especially in or out the transition curve.2.The primary suspension of the small grinding car have a greater impact for safety and stability, so it is important to choose proper stiffness in order to improve the dynamics performance of the small grinding car.3. The stiffness of the traction rods has little effect on its dynamics performance in the small grinding car, and the stiffness of traction rods can be adjusted according to the traction power.4. The optimization results indicate that the dynamics performance of rail small grinding car on grinding condition is improved, and its safety and stability is also improved, besides, its derailment problem is also solved. It is helpful for the home-made process of the rail grinding train. The small grinding car of rail grinding train is done dynamics analysis in this article, this will has the positive significance for the localization of the rail grinding train.
