With the development of science and technology, the advancing of people's studying on the derailment mechanism of rail vehicles, and the modern proactive security measures such as train control systems, the rail vehicles getting smaller and smaller probability of an accident. However in the actual operations of train, the various forms of human operation's error, a sudden change in the natural environment and the unique open constraints of operating environment, making there is always the possibility of the train derailment and other accidents.Once the train derailment accident occurred will be a serious threat to traffic safety, causing great harm to persons and propertyThe problem of train derailment has been investigated by almost all railway administrations and scientists more than 100 years and achieved a great deal of progress. However, with the increasing speed of rail transport, the train derailment accident is still on an upward trend. Over the past decade, train derailment accident rate in a major traffic accident as high as 70%. Derailment problems at home and abroad for studies are focused on the mechanism of derailment derailment prevention. The investigation on post-derailment has received relatively little attention, especially in our country is still in the exploratory stage.Based on the analyzing of the main features after train derailment, the first Lagrange theory, the algebraic equations and the numerical solution of differential equations were briefly explained. For the main characteristics of train after derailment, the vehicle is simplified as plane rigid body model. Based on the establishment of the basic model, the train dynamic model in the constaint of straight line and constant curvature curve were established by using the first Lagrange theory. After analyzing the forces rail vehicles suffered before and after derailment, the various force models were established.To more directly demonstrate the movement of the train after derailment the derailment accident reconstruction animation program was built using C++ Builder 6.0.Based on the above model, using numerical simulation technology, selecting the parameters of the main passenger train as the original parameters, the calculation of dynamic characteristics after train derailment have been done, and the results were analyzed in detail. Meanwhile, on the basis of the original parameters,a systematic analysis of dynamic characteristics have been conducted after train derailment in the different conditions,the rules and degrees of parameters influence have been also discussed. Some useful results were obtained.
