This dissertation based on the ministry of education's key project which is about the control technology of the rail grinding train.(Object NO.2010G008-C)With the development of the high speed and heavy haul railway,the function of the rail grinding train is becoming more and more important. In this dissertation, the GMC96 rail grinding train is used as research object.When the rail grinding train is working, data collection,data processing,the distribution of grinding head and the calculation of the volume of grinding are studied deeply.The software provides more optimization and more efficient mode for rail grinding.The main contents are described as follows:1.In order to describe the shape of the rail accurately,the data is encrypted with the B-spline principle.To ensure the curve and surface reconstruction efficiently and smoothly,equal portions along the arc method is used to simplify the data.By this way, the data points are dense in the large curvature, the data points are sparse in the small curvature.This way is very good to compact the data.2. Through the study of relative algorithms of non-uniform B-spline curve and surface, matlab language is programmed to realize these core algorithms.The rail surface is demonstrated under Matlab7.0 circumstance. Longitudinal analysis of irregularity can decide the grinding times and evaluate the quality of grinding.3. After studying and researching on the GMC96 rail grinding train,the technological parameter of the mode is collected.The mode includes mode 19,mode 2 and mode 13.Moreover,the volume of the grinding is calculated under certain angle and pressure.This result can support the distribution of the grinding heads.4. The GMC96 rail grinding train is as the research object.The distribution range of the grinding heads is from -70 degrees to 15 degrees. The distribution of the grinding heads is constrained by grinding precision and grinding depth.On the one hand,given from the geometric angles,the grinding heads are distributed in different angles, the grinding heads are distributed to make sure that the surface roughness is less than Ral0;On the other hand,given from the relationship among the volume of grinding, the angle of grinding and the pressure of grinding, the rail cross-section curve is gained from the rail and cutting plane intersections.The volume of grinding is calculated by the calculus method.The result is used to determine the distribution.5. The GUI function of the MATLAB is used to develop a rail grinding software.It can provid more mode for our country's rail and evaluate the effect of grinding.
