Since the beginning of the21st century,urban car ownership has grown rapidly withthe accelerating process of urbanization in China.The car energy consumption has beenincreasing in the proportion of the total social energy consumption.How to reduce theenergy consumption of urban car has become an increasingly pressing issue.This thesis relied on the National Key Basic Research Development Program (973Program)“Energy-saving control of key basic technology development foreseen in theelectric vehicle traffic environment Program”.Because driving range of electric vehicles isno longer than gasoline cars’.Therefore,the study about energy saving of electric vehiclesunder the conditions of traffic environment is more meaningful.In order to find moreenergy-efficient path in the city, the energy-saving path was selected by using petrolvehicles to do the urban roads experiments.Energy-saving path of petrol vehicles alsoapplies to electric vehicles.This thesis mainly studies with petrol vehicles to find that amore energy-efficient path which may not be the shortest distance path,but the amount ofthe fuel consumption is the lowest and then prove that such a path exists.First of all, the two selected path which have the same start and end points is theexperimental lines.The electronic map which taked the advantage of Google Earthcontaining geographical latitude and longitude information in the thesis.collected artificialmarkers and save it to import excel.The programmed m-files of MATLAB were read intothe latitude and longitude of information,and the Changchun City road map with theintersection of identity was generated,and then the basis of the fuel consumptioncomparison of different line was set.According to the electronic map, two experimentallines were selected.The two experimental lines are the lines of car oil experiment.Along thetwo experimental routes, the timing program of Semaphores Intersections and Traffic wererespectively investigated.The main reason accesses to the experimental data of the thesis.Secondly, the database and do with the experimental data was establised.The car fuelconsumption experiments bases on the change traffic counts in one day in Changchun City.the time were divided into four different time periods: morning peak, morning flat peak,afternoon flat peak and evening peak.the vehicle was tested on the two different linesbetween Xinmin Square and Nanyang Road according to the division of the four timeperiods.Fuel consumption instrument gets fuel consumption data.Experimental datas that were collected to be divided into two directions.These datas exist on different folder. Tocreate the database the MATLAB was used.The database has been established for dataprocessing.These data that include idle and non-idling two cases were dealt withseparately.The calculated parameters are the time spent by the experiment,the fuelconsumption,speed,fuel consumptionr per100km and distance and so on.Again, the automotive fuel consumption from different angles were mainlyanalyzed.First of all,the different lines were analyzed,namely:line1and line2.Secondly,wedivided into different time periods according to different time,namely:morningpeak,morning flat peak,afternoon flat peak and evening peak four time periods wereanalyzed for fuel consumption.From the division of experimental line were divided into togo to QIYAN and came back from QIYAN the two directions.Fuel consumption data weredivided into two situations:with idle and non-idle according to whether the test car wasidling or not.And both cases were compared.Finally, according to the experimental data obtained, the average speed, idle time werecalculated and made use of these two parameters to establish consumption model of onehundred kilometers fuel. By using of lights and traffic volume data processing, some of thetheories of traffic engineering were made use of to analyze the reasons for the gap ofdifferent paths to fuel consumption. The fuel consumption was calculated by this modeland fuel consumption was obtained by the experiment.The two results are consistent andprove that the fuel consumption model has high reliability.
