| The cranes are widely used in engineering construction as lifting equipment, which play an important role in ensuring the construction projects carried out smoothly. In recent years, with the development of construction machinery industry, the types and brands of crane products are increased. How to choose the most suitable crane has become the most concerned problem for us. To make right decisions, it is necessary to give an objective evaluation of the crane products first. The evaluation of cranes often aims at the cranes’ comprehensive performance. While the performance lies on many aspects with quite a number of indices, then the evaluation becomes more complicated. Seen from this view, researching on index system and evaluation methods of cranes, as well as using scientific evaluation method to receive objective and reasonable evaluation results have significant meanings in practice.On the basis of understanding of the performance parameters of various types of cranes, for crane comprehensive evaluation, system research is launched from the following aspects that establishment of index system, determination of index weights and application of evaluation model. Comprehensive evaluation methods that are suitable for evaluating crane products are explored and the crane comprehensive evaluation system implementing the comprehensive evaluation methods is then developed.With the existing evaluation index systems of the construction machinery products, as well as the characteristics of crane evaluation indices, quantitative analysis methods used in analyzing the correlation between the indices and the distinction of indices are put forward. Further, by combining with the qualitative analysis, hierarchical index system is then obtained. As a result, the index system constructing methods are applied to establishment of truck crane comprehensive evaluation index system.In order to solve the problems of the entropy method in the application, improved entropy method is put forward and its rationality is proved by analysis and examples. Vector-close-degree is used to reflect the degree of consistency between the results of different weight methods instead of the Spearman rank correlation coefficient, and taking into account the decision makers’preferences on various weighting methods, the combination weighting method based on the decision makers’preferences and the consistency of the weighting results is explored. The advantages of the TOPSIS method based on the vertical distance relative to the TOPSIS method based on Euclidean distance in the comprehensive evaluation arc analyzed. Combination weighting method is applied in the determination of index weights in the improved TOPSIS method. The rationality and practicality of the comprehensive evaluation model based on the combination weighting method and the improved TOPSIS method are proved by evaluation examples.Crane comprehensive evaluation system is developed, which integrates the comprehensive evaluation method proposed in this paper. The rationality of the evaluation results and the practicability of the system are illustrated with cases. |
