Flexible attachment crane is mainly used for cooling tower of thermal power plant construction, and some other special occasions. Due to the particularity of its applications, it is connected by the attached soft wire rope and column wall. This connection could not only be able to be adjusted for the distance between flexible installing and the tower wall, and also be more advantageous to the stress of the tower and the tower wall. But its metal structure has complexity and particularity.Based on the traditional theory, fundamentally mastering the tower structure and the dynamics analysis process, and combining with the modern designing method, this paper focus on the deep research for the metal structure of attached flexible installing. Finite element method is one of the most widely applied design methods for structure. I used ANSYS software to analyze the flexible attached tower structure, and calculated the characteristics of the tower within static and dynamic states using the APDL parametric method under different environments.Firstly of the flexible attached to the tower cranes, I used the finite element method to analyze the influence of attached layer to the strength of the tower body and the internal force of the attached steel wire rope; And through the calculation of the large nonlinear deformation within the elastic range, I got the tower crane’s curves of the tension strength, static stiffness of tower, dynamic stiffness, and the local stability influenced by stiffness and pre-tension of the attached flexible wire rope; I also analyzed the relationship between the pre-tension and section parameter of the attached and the biggest internal force of the wire rope. This would provide the designing basis for installing the parameters of the flexible attached tower crane in soft attachment.With dynamic analysis theory, a simple dynamics model of the flexible attached tower crane with four quality and four degrees of freedom was set. I mastered the dynamics analyzing process of the flexible attached tower crane, through establishing and solving the dynamic differential equation. I used the finite element method to explore the dynamic response of the tower under different impact load, and extracted the dynamic amplification coefficient of the tower in the most dangerous component system. Through the APDL parameterized modeling, I got the change rules of the rise acceleration, attached layer and the key parameters of the flexible attached wire rope with the dynamic response of the tower in the most dangerous component system. And t the instability of the tower should be avoided, which is caused by the acceleration of hanging up and the improper choice of parameters for the attached wire rope. This article provides accurate and reliable basis for the installation of the flexible attached tower crane and the selections of the attached wire ropes. It also proves the feasibility of the flexible attachment to high hoisting height tower under special occasions from the static and dynamic states. This would be of important theoretical and practical significance for the designing and the process of construction for the flexible attached tower crane.
