This thesis combining with a practical problem, how to erect operation tools such as the injection system of concrete wet spraying machinery to substitute for manual tools under an abominable tunnel construction environment. Through in-depth comparison and research the working characteristics of mobile crane and wet spraying machinery, a comprehensive analysis between them is made. On the analogy of the telescopic boom of mobile crane which is considered as a mature technology, a telescopic boom assembly design scheme has been proposed. And then, the detailed design of the boom assembly unit has been carried on. Specific work as follows:At first, some brief introductions to the development orientation of the telescoping boom from domestic and foreign are made. Then by introducing the research course of telescoping boom, unfolded the development tendency of the wet spraying machinery by using telescoping boom technique. Based on the deep research on telescoping boom technique, one kind of fillet-rectangular shaped boom has been proposed.In the following, by researching the various working conditions and loads of the wet spraying machinery,9typical conditions were determined. At the same time, compared with the traditional theory calculations and verification methods of mobile crane, a detailed design of the telescoping boom structure was been carried out. The detailed designs of the key parameters include the structure size, section size and the locations of the amplitude hinge-points and etc.Considering that the traditional theory calculation is quite sketchy. The strength, stiffness, and stability of the telescoping boom was calculated, but in the calculation process, many simplifications influenced the computational accuracy were used. Meanwhile, it is difficult to obtain the overall results, especially the slider local stress. So based on the traditional theory calculation, ANSYS Workbench has been used to analyze the mechanical properties of the wet spraying machinery telescoping boom which is considered as a mature finite element analysis tools. The complete3D analytic model of the telescoping boom has been established in ANSYS Workbench. And then, the mechanical analysis of the telescoping boom was completed after a series of FEA steps, such as the contact controlling, the mesh dividing, the load applying, the constraint handling, the solving and the post-processing.Finally, with the function of seamless connection to the CAD, the CAE and the optimization modules from the software ANSYS Workbench, and plus the structural optimization design theory, one kind of FEA structural optimization research is given in this thesis. Find out the key factors which influence the performance of the telescoping boom, and achieve the lighter weight target in the field of telescoping boom. It can provide some reference for the same types of the telescoping boom structure.
