Optimizing Spatial Distribution Of Rural Settlement At County Level Based On GIS

Optimizing spatial distribution of land use is that different land use types are allocated reasonably in quantity structure and located scientifically in spatial location, and building up mutual relations among the types, in order to realize maximum integrated benefits. Optimizing spatial distribution of rural settlement land, as a important kind of land use type, is beneficial to saving land resource and coordinating development between urban and rural areas. The related research on rural settlement has become a hot topic in the academic circles, and the methods in the research have developed from qualitative analysis to quantitative analysis. Statistics and spatial analysis have poured new vigor into the research on spatial optimizing distribution. And the development of GIS, especially the proposition of "Spatially Integrated Humanities and Social Science" in recent year, provide a good foundation for extensity, management and analysis of data and provide a scientific basis for the research on spatial optimizing distribution.Taking Dachang County of Hebei Province as research area, with the support of spatial statistics theories and GIS technology, this dissertation utilizes multifarious quantitative analysis methods to carry on research on distribution character of rural settlement and realize spatial optimizing distribution of rural settlement. Here are the main contents and conclusions of this dissertation: (1) The analysis of distribution character on rural settlement. By adopting related theories and methods such as spatial statistics, Voronoi Tessellation, landscape ecology and so on, this dissertation carries on research three aspects which are distribution character, layout pattern and factors linking with distribution, and discloses characteristic and the present problem on layout of rural settlement, to lay a foundation for the research.(2) The research of spatial optimizing distribution on rural settlement. Comparing distribution and evolvement of historical and present rural settlement this dissertation proposes the develop styles, layout principles and layout ways of rural settlement, and determines preliminary threshold used to distinguish the develop styles with the methods such as variation coefficient analysis, statistical analysis, spatial analysis and so on.(3) The protocol of layout and adjustment scheme on rural settlement. Through the foundation above, this dissertation sets steps of proposing the develop styles, protocols scheme of the develop styles preliminarily with three fine-tuning processes, and then determines layout and adjustment scheme with migratory circle and migratory direction which are obtained from two-step floating catchment area method and point pattern analysis.In conclusion, this dissertation takes Dachang County of Hebei Province as research area carry on research on distribution character of rural settlement, and realizes spatial optimizing distribution and determines layout and adjustment scheme of rural settlement. The result suggests that, that combining GIS with various types of quantitative analysis methods could analysis distribution character of rural settlement generally, and that2SFCA and PPA could support spatial optimizing distribution and protocolling layout and adjustment scheme effectively. While, the scheme provides a scientific basis for the rural construction land sorting and new rural communities construction.
