This article proposed research topics of the cement asphalt mixture againstasphalt pavement rutting, low-temperature cracks and water damage. We add cementto the asphalt mixture to improve high temperature stability, the performance of thelow temperature crack resistance and resistance to water damage of asphalt pavement.In this article, tests use the three skeleton structures of the stone asphalt concreteSAC13-1, SAC13-2, SAC13-3and ordinary asphalt concrete AC13as the researchobjects. We select four gradations, then cement substituted for each grading oreamount of0%,20%,40%,60%,80%and100%of the molding standard Marshallspecimen and the rut board. By rutting test, freezing and thawing of the indirecttensile test and indirect tensile test to study the influence on thehigh temperature stability, low temperature stability and water stability of asphaltmixture when cement replace powder.According to a large number of test studies, this article believes that with theincorporation of the increase of cement dosage, the high temperature stability ofasphalt mixture gradually increased and decreased, When we use the rutting toevaluate the high temperature stability of asphalt mixture, for different gradationasphalt mixtures, the appropriate amount of cement replacing mineral powder isbetween20%to40%. When20%to40%cement replace mineral powder, it canimprove the low temperature of the asphalt mixture splitting strength, therebyimproving the low temperature cracking resistance of asphalt mixture. Compared withthe asphalt mixtures that use the slag, the water stability has been improved aftercement substitute mineral powder, and when cement replace80%mineral powder, thewater stability of asphalt mixture is the best.There will be different cement replacement amount of mineral powder for different gradations and different asphalt mixture performances. In specificapplications, we should choose a different amount of cement substitutes according tothe actual situation of the construction conditions, the local and regional climate at thetime. Local conditions change over time.The test results indicate that the cement used as fillers has certain advantages, itcan improve the high temperature stability of asphalt mixture, the performance oflow-temperature stability and resistance to water damage and have great significanceto improve the road performance of asphalt mixture and reduce project costs.
