The problems are, theimcomplete of engineering data in the R&D of vehicle, the chaos of data managingprocess, the complete and accuracy of product data, the information island and noconnection between information system. This article try to solve these problem andsolve with solution.For the daters in R&D are complicated, the study of this article emphasis on4point, the managing of engineering data in R&D, the management of engineeringpart list in R&D, the product code management for vehicle in R&D, and themanagement of engineering work change order of product data in R&D. To understand the theory of data management, I study the current vehicle, and analysisthem on4points, to try to find the existing problems. By study and analysis themilestone data management in R&D stage, and data management method ofshareholder such as General Motors and SAIC Motor, and the current datamanagement in SAIC-GM-Wuling, I find the new method of data management, toimprove the data managing process and application, to help to success of many typesof vehicle.The study generated from the requirement of SGMW, to meet the requirementof passenger car and oversea export business. This new managing method forproduct data in R&D stage is based on the combining the GVDP (global vehicledevelopment process) and milestone of the VDP (vehicle development process) fromSAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. And this article refer to the system andmethod of product data managing system of General Motors and Shanghai GM. Thisarticle put forward one new managing method for R&D of vehicle.
