With the developing of Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing,it becomes the key point that designing various productions in collaborative way and integrating all the means of production during the lifecycle.Product life cycle management(PLM)system,which is integrated with all kinds of automation systems(CAD,BOM,PDM,ERP,etc.),improves the product design quality and production efficiency,and enhance the intelligent level of the whole industry development.The optimization management method and research of PLM system are becoming the most important parts in intelligent manufacturing,all walks of life have been searching for the best management theory and they way to achieve it.After many years of production experience that accumulated by major manufacturing enterprises at home and aborad,the research of product data engineering theory has matured,but there are still many difficulties and pain points in the developing and applying PLM system,In particular,the scope of PLM can span the design department,purchasing department,process department,manufacturing department,service department,financial department and other departments,and it involves the whole life cycle of products from project pre-research,project approval,development,trial production,manufacturing,delivery,service,until end of production and so on.How to keep the consistency of product data during passing data through different systems is the most difficult problems that must be solved.In order to solve the problems above,this thesis studies the PLM’s most important data source BOM and product designing structure in PDM,try to optimize the product structure and the way of integration and association of PDM and BOM.to improve the efficiency of BOM management,data consistency and accuracy,thereby,to improve the performance of the PLM.The main research works and achievements are as follows:(1)According to the characteristics of real-time updating of data in PLM,this thesis firstly studies and analyzes various BOM structures,and proposes that the single-stage BOM is the outstanding performanced structure,which can reduce the complexity betterly when reusing data.(2)For the weakness of single-stage BOM in searching performance,this thesis proposes an improved preorder traversal non-recursive algorithm based on the analysis of two typical algorithms,which optimize the search performance of BOM and improve the search speed of single-stage BOM.(3)Considering that the improved BOM data structure and the improved search algorithm still have large data redundancy and management complexity to adapt the single vehicle BOM or comparative BOM,this thesis introduces the concept and model of product configuration,designs the method of configurable management BOM combining product configuration and BOM structure,realizes the generation of product super BOM according to the definition of product configuration to improve the reuse of BOM and design data,and reduces the load of maintenance data and data change.(4)Although the super BOM data structure has strong expansibility,but the single vehicle BOM is necessary duiring production.Aimed at the business requirements of the single vehicle BOM,this thesis proposes a method to solve the super BOM to single vehivle BOM,and disassemble the list of the single vehicle BOM.(5)The key data sources in PLM system,BOM and PDM,don’t have a good correlation.It has poor consistency of data and process when BOM and PDM are completely independent.On the contrary,it has high cost of data management and change when they are fully integrated.This thesis proposes a method of tight coupling of BOM and PDM based on associated master data to ensure the consistency and synchronization of data of the two structures.The optimized scheme ensures the independent structure of BOM and PDM respectively.At the same time,the product design data can be managed according to the designners habits,and the product BOM structure can be managed according to the configuration relationship of product definition and the requirements of the downstream departments on the material structure.They don’t interfere with each other,and the data maintenance is relatively independent.Relatively independent and non-interfering system features ensure the consistency of collaborative development data and improve the agility of product development.
