With the continuous development of the national economy in China, the transportation problem of the cities are more and more important, the development of the city need we to form a complete set of traffic to come to the service it. As a new fast and convenient transportation, city light rail has get a wide range of applications, and it will sure have a greater development. The development of the light rail needs corresponding design strength as a support, the design of elevated station is one of the most important functions, but at present we have not formed a mature system for the design of the elevated stations. In this paper we combine with lukouxinchengbei station of the light rail from Nanjing to Gaochun to do some research for the problem we often met when designing elevated stations.First, we select the type of the structure and design it.Second, in the longitudinal, this elevated station is large in size, it is a overlong concrete structure, but considering requirements of other professionals, we do not set up the expansion joints. This paper do some research on the concrete’s shrinkage. Then we take some measures against the Occurrence of cracks. At last, in the horizontal, the elevated station is single span concrete frame structure, engineering experience by ever tell we that the structure’s seismic performance is poor, specially their columns. This paper improve the structure seismic by one degree to calculate the reaction of the structure under severe earthquake by the spectrum analysis, and then we do static elasto-plastic analysis under rarely met earthquake to find its energy mechanism and the structure’s performance under rarely met earthquakes.
