Study On Heritage Gardens In Peking University

Defining Heritage and Heritage of Peking University campus landscape determines the content of this research. And the studying of domestic and foreign literature provides a theoretical support of the paper. The main reach conclusions of the paper are general causes of its formation, landscape structural characteristics, and artistic characteristics and morphology of gardening elements in different times, by studying factors affecting the formation of the heritage of Peking University landscape, historical overview, and the historical evolution of the landscape elements.Then do the researching of eight garden heritage from three aspects include historical overview, the art of gardening and evolution, to summarize and analyze their respective historical overview, gardening practices and the change of layout in different periods, which can obtain further analysis of their historical value and artistic value. Finally, thorough investigation of the current situation, this paper proposes the protection strategies for problems of each garden. And these strategies will play a guiding role on the development of the landscape heritage.
