To face the dual challenge of global warming and energy crisis, China has formulated a national development strategy of developing low-carbon economy and building a low-carbon society, the energy-saving concept is gradually integrated into the various aspects of social construction. In social carbon emissions, the carbon dioxide gas emission from buildings occupies a large proportion. China’s construction industry has long been the extensive mode of growth, building products both in construction technical or construction quality, have a big gap with the developed countries, especially the energy consumption of buildings constructed using much higher than the developed countries, this process is accompanied by large amounts of greenhouse gas emissions and serious environmental pollution. The implementation and promotion of low-carbon architecture will be conducive to the resolution of this issue, reducing China’s total greenhouse gas emissions, and improving people’s production and living environment.Building life cycle energy consumption accounted for 46% of the total energy consumption of the community, construction-related pollution accounted for 34%. Thus, to build low-carbon society, and to develop low-carbon economy, how to achieve low-carbon construction and operation of the building is an unavoidable problem. To face the challenge of energy-saving and emission reduction, seeking ways to realize the low-carbon architecture and building low-carbon energy-saving construction mode, have great significance for promoting the development of a low-carbon economy and building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society in China. This study from the building life-cycle point of view, proposes ways of realizing low-carbon architecture in three dimensions, by learning the construction evaluation system of domestic and foreign, and combining with the actual of China’s low-carbon buildings, preliminary constructs the evaluation index system in the low-carbon architecture.The main content of this paper is divided into four parts:First, describes the life-cycle theory, elaborates the concept, connotation and characteristics of low-carbon architecture, analyzes the difference of low-carbon architecture with energy efficient building, green building, sustainable construction, ecological building. Then describes the development status of low-carbon architecture at home and abroad, lists the typical instance of low-carbon architecture, describes the measures taken in the development of low-carbon construction process at home and abroad, summarizes the shortcomings in the construction process of China’s low-carbon architecture. Next, in view of our country low-carbon architecture construction process insufficiency, we build the low-carbon architecture realization model at construction level, project level and social level, analyze main factors to achieve low-carbon architecture, and propose how to realize it. Finally, according to the characteristics of the implementation process of China’s low-carbon architecture, by drawing from foreign low-carbon architecture evaluation system and the domestic construction evaluation index, we build low-carbon architecture evaluation index system.This research to project management theory as a guide, to various other disciplines knowledge as reference, envisions for China’s low-carbon architecture development model, proposes the concrete way to realize low-carbon architecture. The realization of low-carbon construction is a complex systems engineering. which requires the joint efforts of all parties involved. The proposed low-carbon architecture ways need to be constantly replenished in the future practice of building, in order to better guide the construction and implementation of China’s low-carbon architecture. |
