With the improvement of people’s living standards, the change of living concept,high-rise residential has become the new force of today’s urban housing industry. Theconstruction of high-rise residential has reduced the building density, improved theutilization of land effectively and played a huge role in transforming of the old urban andsolving the housing difficulties of urban residents in the process of urbanization. At thesame time, the rapid increase in the number of private cars caused by the acceleration ofthe urbanization process and the vigorous development of the automotive industry madehigh-rise residential area parking pressure growing, the problem that the contradictionbetween supply and demand, the waste and the low utilization of parking space has showhighlights. Therefore, it is important to study on the supply and the intensification ofparking space in high-rise residential area. This thesis did some research based on theparking design of high-rise residential area from these points below, hope can providesome useful references for developers and designers. The first chapter briefly describes the origin topics and research objects in this thesis, elaborates the research significance and necessity, summaries the research status at homeand abroad, then put forward the research methods, purposes and framework of thisthesis. The second chapter is background research, mainly describes the developmentoverview of cars in China. Pointing out the phenomenon that the rapid growth of cars inChina, analyzes the correlated elements (economic, policy, urbanization and so on)pushing the car increase, discusses the status and contradictions of cars development andurban road traffic in our country, and briefly describes the impact and challenges causedby the car surge to urban and residential area construction at last. The thesis points outthat, for the development of cars, we should look at the problem comprehensively, and theproper development of cars in China is an inevitable trend. The third chapter elaborates the theories and practices concerning parking problemsat home and abroad. First reviews and summarizes the relative researches and practicesfor cars in western countries, then introduces the development history of parking planningand design and the researches about parking planning and design in chinese settlements. Finally, summarizes the lessons learned from the study of the parking problems at homeand abroad. The fourth chapter is the on-site investigation and analysis on the parking design ofchinese urban high-rise residential area. The thesis focuses on the perspective of parkingquantity and parking quality, after investigating some urban high-rise residential areas insome key chinese cites, collecting and analyzing the data, the thesis also finds out themajor parking problems in urban high-rise residential areas and the causes to them. Thethesis points out that the supply and demand of parking spaces will be basic balance andthe parking problems will be no longer serious if high-rise residential areas build withberths in accordance with the average household a car. Then the thesis predicts andanalyzes the development trend of parking demand in residential area, and points out thatthe average car ownership will soon reach per household a car in chinese urban residentialarea. The fifth chapter studies on parking space supply of the urban high-rise residentialarea under the premise that per household built with a berth. First briefly introduces theparking mode in high-rise residential area, analyzes the parking capacity supply rate ofdifferent parking modes and the potential for the use of mechanical parking when perhousehold built with a berth. Then the thesis establishes a specific model to study on theparking space supply of high-rise residential area with different FAR and differentaverage household construction area. Finally, studies on the potential design of parkingspace in high-rise residential area from “spaceâ€,“time†and “regional†aspects. The sixth chapter studies on the intensification of parking space against the wasteand low utilization of parking space in high-rise residential areas. Through on-siteinvestigation and analysis of the fifth chapter, it shows that the underground parking willbe main mode of urban high-rise residential area in future, therefore, this chapter studieson parking space intensive design of straight stop ramp type garages used in mostresidential areas at present. Then outlines several underground mechanical parkingmodes and its characteristics for high-rise residential area, and establishes a specificmodel to comparative analysis the space utilization, economy of the mechanical type andstraight stop ramp type underground parking garage, to investigate the intensive effect ofunderground mechanical parking mode. The seventh chapter helps to summarize this thesis and put forward which aspects ofthe parking design in high-rise residential area should be studied in future. The thesis adopts the approaches of on-site investigation and data collection. Itborrows some results and conclusions from some researches, but the more important isthe possible settlements acquired through on-site investigation and data collection. The basic aim of this thesis is the effort of trying to find out the relative theory andtechnological support to the construction of the urban high-rise residential areas for ourcountry in future. |
