Infilled Reinforced Concrete Frames is a common structure system used inbuilding structures.In the exsisting norms,infilled walls are only treated as non-structural components.In fact,the mechanical properties of structures produce very bigeffect because of the exsistence of infilled walls.For the demand of practical problems,it is inevitable to open holes on the walls. The holes on the walls must lead to thechange of its bearing capacity, stiffness and failure mode. At present,the research onthe openning infilled wall-frames is still at a preliminary stage and need to take a lotof work.To solve this problem,It is necessary to study the mechanical properties ofopenning infilled wall-frames.because of the needs of structural design,it is nesessaryto propose simplified models for Infilled Reinfroced Concrete Frames.Based on theabove purposes,its main works are presented as follows(1) After summarizing the achievements of the scholars at home and abroad, themechanical properties of infilled wall-frames are analysed. The stiffness,capacity andfailure mode of infilled wall-frames are also investigated in this paper.(2) The finite element method is used in modeling the infilled wall-frames.Theeffect on the stiffness, capacity, energy dissipation and stress distribution of framesare also researched in this paper by controlling Aspect Ratio, openning ratio and holelocation of infilled walls.(3) Based on the result of numerical simulation, This paper amended the three-struts model of infilled wall-frames proposed by Wales,and proposed simplifiedmodel of entity infilled wall-frames,regularly and inregularly opened infilled wall-frames.This paper also illustrated the validity and rationality of the proposedmodel under horizontal load by simulate exsisted experiment.(4) The distribution of internal force and plastic hinges in infilled ReinfrocedConcrete Frames are analysed,and the control section in frames are discussed in thispaper.Through the above research,the influence of infilled walls on the bearing capacity,stiffness and energy dissipation capacity of frame structures is clearly reflected. Theproposed simplified model is simple and effective.It reflected the weak parts of themain frame structures and can play a guiding role in the structural designs.
