The development of buildings is an important indicator to reflect the urbandevelopment, it plays an important service function in the urban residents’ life andwork, it also has a far-reaching impact on environment change、cultural inheritance anddevelopment, as well as scientific and technological advances of this region.However, the building energy consumption take a large proportion of the total energyconsumption in the society, and it makes the contradictions of China’s energy supplyand demand more exacerbating. Building energy-saving has already been a majorstrategic initiative for the sustainable development of national economy, it is animportant part of building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society.Meanwhile, building energy-saving is driven effectively with the effective policies andtechnical standards introduced. Therefore, the research on energy-saving and optimaldesign of the buildings has an important social value.Buildings have long been the main places for people to live and work. With thedevelopment of social civilization, the demands of the users on the building functioncontinually increasing, and the consumption of energy is also growing, approximately1/3world energy is consumed in the construction area, this will seriously affect thegreen sustainable growth of economic. Therefore, the research on energy-saving andoptimal-design of buildings have important social values.Starting from the basic theory of the building energy consumption, the articleanalyzes the consumption way of energy resources. Explore the impact of heat losscause by the feature and envelope of the buildings building. The main content of theresearch are as follows: 1)Study the sources of building energy through the basic construction theory,analyze the component of building energy consumption, clear the impact element ofenergy consumption, such as the energy supply and the stage of construction projects.2)The interior heat of the buildings losses through the building envelope structure.Study the heat dissipation theory and principle can effectively take measures to preventheat loss. Building envelope includes doors、windows、walls、floor、ceiling、roof andother parts. Their thermal properties are studied mainly from the use of materials、structure form and the construction quality improvement.3)The simulation analysis is conducted by using Dest to simplify the complexreality, which is an energy consumption analysis software. The Calculation model isestablished to analyze energy consumption index, the original and optimized buildingmaterials are applied to compare the thermal performance of building envelope.4)Through the construction project examples, energy-saving and optimal measuresare studied, such as the use of hollow block, choose insulation materials with low heattransfer coefficient, apply them to the walls and roof of the building parts, chooseenergy-efficient windows and doors that meet the requirements, reduce the heattransfer coefficient of retaining structure in order to achieve the goal of energy-saving.
