In this paper, based on presented study of mega-suspended frame, a kind ofmega-suspended frame system installed with composite supports and dampers was putforward, the elastic-plastic seismic response was discussed under three types of seismicwaves and its seismic performance advantage was analyzed, which provide reference forhigh-rise building designers. Meanwhile, the structure form and working principle oftwo-direction energy dissipation damper was put forward. Its seismic effect was discussed,which provides the reference for reducing vibration control of engineering structure.On the one hand, the stem department model of this system was simplified as theparticle system model, each layer of the lateral stiffness was deduced by using elastic-plasticstatic method through SAP2000software and the rationality of the simplification wasdiscussed with the help of SAP2000software and a self-designed procedure. On this basis,the elastic-plastic seismic response was discussed under three types of seismic wavesthrough the self-compiling program. The results show that along with the increase of resistlateral stiffness of the system, deformation energy consumption of the system reduces andthe seismic energy consumption by damping increases, but the seismic energy consumptionis constituted by deformation energy consumption. For the mega-suspended braced andprestressed frame attached with dampers, the main structure’s horizontal displacement andthe relative displacement between main and substructure can be reduced effectively byviscous dampers which can also avoid the collisions and protect main structure.On the other hand, because of the direction’s uncertainty of wind load and theearthquake, it requires the damper installed between main and sub structure of themega-suspended composite support system, have the function of consuming any direction’senergy of wind or earthquake input. The structure form of two-direction energy dissipationdamper was put forward and we explained its working principle. First, the analysis of itsbending, tension and compression deformation model were discussed as well as sheardeformation model by using nonlinear theory and ANSYS software, and got its relevantmechanical parameters. On this basis, its restoring force model was simulated. Finally, weapplied it to the mega-suspended composite support system and discussed the elastic-plasticseismic response analysis on the mega-suspended composite support system. The resultsshow that the relative displacement between main and substructure can be reduced effectively by the two-direction energy dissipation damper which can also avoid thecollisions. At the same time additional dampers reduce system’s plastic deformation andmake structural damages from its own to the dampers, protecting the structure effectively,which prove the good anti-seismic effect of two-direction energy dissipation damper.
