Study On Characteristic And Model Of Vehicle Operation Safety Based On Driving Behavior

On basis of Traffic Psychology, study driving psychological, physiologicalreaction and behavior characteristics of driver in the road traffic system, and establishdriver information processing model to describe the relationship between drivingstatus and driver’ decision in different traffic environments.Car-following behavior is driving behavior that displayed by running vehiclessubject to their adjacent vehicle in the driveway. Studying car-following behaviormay help understand the safety characteristics of vehicle operation. Followingvehicle’s property shown in the fleet which similar to molecule is called Molecularvehicle-following characteristic. In car-following status, the driver not only considershow to avoid a collision with the leading vehicle in the same driveway, but also keepa reasonable lateral spacing with the lateral car in the adjacent lane.This paper researches the car-following behavior on the base of driving behavior,through the establishment of necessary distance model to study vehicle operationsafety characteristics. Appling diagram form and mathematical calculation method toestablish Molecular vehicle-following model equation in different speed status,undertake math to prove. Appling the characteristics of vehicle speed difference tostudy the influence of necessary safety distance on safety characteristics of vehicleoperation. By the analysis of lateral interference factors, study the influence oflongitudinal spacing and speed on lateral spacing, and establish lateral necessarysafety distance model. For the leading vehicle in uniform and uniform decelerationdriving status, respectively establish necessary safety distance model. The necessarysafety distance model was comparatively analyzed with the tradition one under thesame condition．The intersection field survey data shows that the necessary safetydistance accord with the actual vehicle running characteristics.
