The statistics show that the accidents which happened on two-lane roads of secondary level or below ranked in the first place among total traffic accidents as much as 70%, and most of the two-lane road accidents happened on the horizontal curve. Also there are related data shows that accidents happened on the horizontal curved section are treble on other sections, and in the traffic accidents concern with road, people died in vehicle accidents happened on horizontal curved section (curved section) accounted for 25% of the total number of traffic accident death.Although studies on above traffic safety of curved road section are developed by many scholars at home and abroad from road traffic accident reason, effect of road factors on road safety, change regularity of vehicle move speed and acceleration on curved section, etc. There is no systematic study based on driving behavior on curved section from drivers'behavior patterns and psychological decision-making system about formation mechanism of road safety risk and driving behavior characteristic on curved section.Taking cognitive psychology and driving behavior theory as the guide, facing curved road section of secondary level or below, studying on driving behavior on curved section, starting with drivers driving process and behavior decision-making system, taking speed and track of vehicle driving as control variable, in the dissertation safety characteristic of the section is analyzed thoroughly, the concept of dangerous driving area is put forward and its formation mechanism is discussed, composition of driving risk on section and its quantification model are investigated, drivers'driving speed-track selection model on curved section is studied and set up. The research result can provide theory guide for design of road alignment safety, design of road facilities, strategy-making of traffic accident prevention, etc. and it is very necessary for ensuring safety and comfort of drivers driving.In conclusion, the research of this dissertation can be summarized as following aspects:Chapter one:Introduction. In this chapter, research background, objective and significance of the dissertation is introduced, research situation at home and abroad on road safety characteristic, traffic accident reason, and driver behavior is reviewed, main job of the dissertation is illustrated, framework of relationships among studies in the dissertation is given, and the theory and method foundation of research work in the dissertation are introduced briefly.Chapter two:Analysis on road safety characteristic on curved section. In this chapter, road safety characteristic on curved section is analyzed in detail based on statistical data of traffic accident and safety experimental data of section from four aspects as traffic accident characteristic, drivers'psychological and physiological characteristic, vehicle move speed characteristic and driving track characteristic, provide the cognitive basis for studies of relevant questions in consequent chapters.Chapter three:Study on driving dangerous area. Taking driving hope of drivers and traffic information processing mode as the guide, proceeding from matching relationship between human-vehicle operation state and traffic system, existence and formation mechanism of driving dangerous area on curved section is explained. According to change of speed and acceleration of vehicles and change of psychological and physiological indexes of drivers, characteristic and formation of driving dangerous area on curved section are analyzed. Provide the theory guide for consequent research work in the dissertation.Chapter four:Study on risk decision-making model. In this chapter, taking cognition and decision-making mechanism of drivers as the core, multidimensional stricture of driving behavior decision-making risk is put forward, quantitative expression method of each risk factor and its corresponding risk degree functions are given respectively and evaluating model of comprehensive risk degree is constructed. Formation and characteristic of driving safety risk in driving dangerous area on curved section is analyzed based on this model. At last, taking driving behavior decision-making of different types of vehicles on curved section as the example, efficiency of the model is verified.Chapter five:Study on speed selection model. In this chapter, proceeding from internal psychological mechanisms and condition analysis of drivers'reduced speed behavior, combining the advantages of risk aversion behavior mode and behavior control model of drivers, influence mechanism and model of reduced speed behavior based on the matching of dangerous cognitive level and capacity is constructed, and efficiency of the model is verified on the basis of observation and investigation and experiment of reduced speed behavior in front of curved section.Chapter six:Study on track selection model. In this chapter, six typically track characteristics of curved section are analyzed in detail and description equation of track curve are given respectively on the basis of experimental results. Taking driving expectation of drivers as the breakthrough, drivers' internal mechanisms of diving track decision-making on curved section is discussed, track selection model based on driving expectation is constructed, and efficiency of the model is verified on the basis of observation and investigation and experiment of driving track on curved section of the road.
