In recent years, with the development of productive forces, the accumulation of wealth ismuch more focused, and the population is much more denser. These are leading to increasethe factors of inducing fire hazard, and the loss is much more serious. The unceasinglyupdated technology of fire fighting is one of the important means to reduce the loss ofproperty, and is also an important task to strengthen the safety of public property. This paperintroduces a new parallel mechanism3-CRC into the realm of fire fighting,designs anddevelops a fire cannon with parallel mechanism, and uses the parallel mechanism to repalcethe existing series mechanism of fire cannon, which eliminates the bend of right angle of theseries fire cannon and improves injection efficiency and the ability of fire fighting to protectthe security of people’s property more effectively. Therefore, the study of this paper has animportant practical significance and social value.This paper analyses the freedom type of parallel mechanism firstly by screw-theory.Thus we learn that it belongs to three degrees of freedom of pure rotating institutions, whichcan ensure the institutions to complete the requirements in the actual movement of the firecannon. And then, according to the freedom of institutions and the characteristics of thebranch chain structure, we build the model of the positive and negative solutions of thelocation of the institutions, take the size of institutions to build the model to draw therelationship curve between input displacement and output displacement, and use the simulatesoftware to simulate and verify the positive kinematics. Then,by introducing the concept ofinfluence matrix,the solving processes of the first and the second-order effect coefficientmatrixes are given under the organization of a particular position and the results are validatedcomparing with the positive solution dates. Finally, according to the negative solution of thelocation of the mechanism and constraints condition, the work space are achieved to verifywhether the movement meet the requirements of the practical works. Finally, we made thefinal design strategy by comparing and analysing the three model of parallel fire cannon wedesigned.
