The function of fire fighter gas cannon powered from gas chamber is to launch the bill onto specific target. Powerful fire extermination, great range, strong flexibility and extended life span represented the trend of fire fighter gas cannon. The operation of fire fighter gas cannon is both an energy transformation and a complicated dynamic physical chemistry process.At first, the parameters of cannon have been analyzed and calculated through interior ballistics, aerodynamics, physical and aerothermodynamics. The formulations between the length, taper of the cannon and its cannon shot have been obtained. The greatest range can be achieved through the formulations which includes the friction and leakage inside the cannon. Second, the cannon thickness and strength are decided and checked.In the process of cannon shot, the load impact has been imposed on the cannon. The load impact which mainly determined the designation directly and indirectly put on the tube, gas chamber, pushing air cylinder, pitching machine, revolver and connecting parts.According to the principle of fire fighter gas cannon, the construction of the cannon has been designed. The construction of gas chamber includes its inflator and releaser, the cannon body, shock absorber, locking machine, cartridge clip and the frame for pitching and revolving.The dynamic shot simulation of the fire fighter gas cannon possesses strong theoretic and engineering values. With the simulating software, the simulation and analysis of fire fighter gas cannon have been made, thus bringing out references for the designation. Through the simulation of the shot process, the relations between cannon shot and the chamber pressure, tube length tube taper, friction, leakage and initial velocity have been gotten respectively.Therefore the optimum cannon shot parameters were obtained.
