This paper mainly studies on the pedestrian shopping street in the new town ofWudalianchi, which is both a National Park of China and also a UNESCO Geopark.The street is locaded in the new town, where the immigrante from the center ofWudalianchi National Park, because of applying for the world heritage, now live in.According to the situation that more and more pedestrian shopping street has beendesigned and built in china, but most of them lack activity to the other part of theurban open space, for the reason that designers only consider the street itself butignore the relationship with the whole city, the study mainly talks about how to find away to combine the new-designed pedestrian street to the whole environmentlandscape of Wudalianchi National Park. To answer this question, the study uses thetheory of cognitive experiences to desicribe the part how to effect the whole openspace in visitors’ view, the main part of that is about using the theory to annalysis thelandscape cognitive experiences system, conclude the feature of the landscape in theWudalianchi National Park and use them in the planning and design of the pedestrianshopping street.Thus, the paper mainly studies on different scale of open space as below: the wholenational park, the town region, the town, the Central Shopping District and thepedestrian shopping street. For each scale, using the cognitive experiences theory,such as, image of city, visual continuous, and esthetics, discuss who, what, and inwhat way to cognitate and experence the landscape. By those discussions, the studybuild a system of how to design the pedestrian shopping street in the new town ofWudalianchi, writing in the way of urban design guidelines. |
