self-evident is a space particularity that gets citizens and space engender the sense of identification and belonging.However,what space design elements,environment attribute,space structure or culture feature can on earth affect the creation of self-evident and regionalism of street is always a focus full of dispute in the field of urban and rural planning and landscape design.The pedestrian mall is an important spot for people to experience city culture and spatial situation and is also a spot for people to accumulate collective space experience and living memory.In the past,the pedestrian mall of mountainous city has formed the unique landscape and humanistic situation because of the varied and changeable topography,while in recent days,with the rapid development of urbanization and strong invasion of globalization,it is faced with the dilemma of deterioration of environment quality and loss of regional self-evident.As a result,how to find the important space element and environment attribute affecting self-evident and regionalism through the building of evaluation structure and how to create the regional self-evident through planning and design have become the important research topic to create human’s living environment around mountainous areas.The thesis,through theory and literature review,street environment survey and questionnaire survey together with on-the-spot in-depth interview and in the way of comparing the single case of pedestrian mall typical in the main district of Chongqing,is written to explore the following topics:(1).Commentary on self-evident,environment perception(landscape evaluation)and the relevant theory development of mountainous city space cognition,as well as the relationship between the above theories and city street space self-evident.(2)How to research and plan the appropriate self-evident evaluation structure and empirical operation method of the pedestrian mall in mountainous city to find out the important space elements and environment cognitive factors affecting the self-evident of pedestrian mall in mountainous city and how to quantize and measure the influence factor and influence effect of creating the self-evident of pedestrian mall in mountainous city through the construction of self-evident structure equation model focusing on the psychology of space experiencer.(3)How to create the pedestrian mall living space with self-evident and the sense of regional self-evident in mountainous city through the research and plan of planning strategy of street space.The street environment survey and result of empirical analysis shows that the self-evident evaluation structure built by the research in the mountainous city is feasible and easy to operate.It is found through the research that important space elements affecting the self-evident of the pedestrian mall in mountainous city include the street morphological feature elements and visual feature elements and historical building and secondly the natural landscape and building types.Besides,the research,by taking advantage of environment cognitive factor to build self-evident relationship model,discoveries that the globalization has negative influence on the street space self-evident and environmental intention and the local specialty has positive influence on the street space self-evident.The negative cognitive factors that have great influence have a sense of internationality,modernity and commercialization and the positive cognitive factors that have great influence have green degree,variety,naturality,sense of culture,complexity and sense of history.While the negative cognitive factors have further effect on the street space self-evident.Finally,in accordance with the above-mentioned research results,pointing at strengthening the planning strategy of mountainous city pedestrian mall self-evident,puts forward the specific suggestions: make up for the inherent defect,strengthen mountainous area feature factors and improve the street cognitive perception.
