With China s rapid economic development, China s construction market boomed. Many foreign architects and foreign enterprises enter the Chinese market. In this multi-cultural, conflict situation, how do Chinese architects embark on a path of independent innovation. This is an important subject with practical significance.This thesis takes the main production and architectural principle of two famous contemporary architects from the U.S. West Coast, Thom Mayne and Eric Owen Moss, with the courage to explore new and innovative, as research object.By analyzing and researching the main works of Thom Mayne from the point of form generation, this thesis explore how architects, starting from the concept, through geometry control, complete the form generation of a variety of systems, and then through the combined effects of multiple systems to make generation process of architectural form. In addition, analyzing and researching the built works of Eric Owen Moss, get out his recognition, under the influence of art, for the internal and external forms and his attitude of old and new in the process of construction and renovation of old building. Research the works of Eric Owen Moss from the point of material selection and utilization and geometry generation, this thesis in order to find out the mystery behind the complex form. This paper attempts to give some inspiration to the architectural design, through analysis on the basis of architecture.
