Hematology analyzer which can analyze human’s blood rapidly,has played an importantrole in the modern clinical medical diagnosis. Subject to technical limitations at earlier time, mostof the domestic instruments used analog circuit to identify blood cell signal. It can’t identifycomplex signals, resulting in leakage and wrong of counting. In addition, the bulky analog ciruitsare difficult to be debugged. The parameters of circuit are susceptible to environmental factors,leading to identification statistics become inaccurate. As the rapid development of integratedcircuits and EDA technology, digital technology has been widely used in all aspects of socialproduction. Using of digital methods to detect the blood cell signal is undoubtedly one of the bestways to solve the above problem.In this paper, a new method based on state-analysis which can be implemented in the FPGAeasily is proposed to meet the demand for the digital technologies of hematology analyzer. Usingthis method, a three-channel hematology analysis apparatus is designed in the Cyclone II seriesFPGA(EP2C35). On this basis, to reduce hematology analyzer’s circuit board size and cost whileimproving its performance, Nios II processor, LCD driver controller, hematology analysisapparatus, etc. is implemented using SOPC technology in one FPGA. The hardware of hematologyanalyzer is finshed including high-speed digital to analog conversion circuit, four-wire resistivetouch screen controller, blood cell signal generator, etc. The entire application program iscompleted in human-computer interaction system which is designed based on μC/OS-II real-timeoperating system and graphical user interface μC/GUI in Nios II integrated developmentenvironment.Finally, hematology analyzer was tested the repeatability and linearity of the hematologyanalyzer with the quality-control-blood and blood signal generator. It meet the request of“hematology analyzer national pharmaceutical industry standards” and can be used for clinicaldiagnosis.
