With development of the national economy construction, more and more, higher and higher concrete dams are building, hydraulic engineering plays a more and more important role in national economy construction. The seepage and temperature have played a crucial role on stability of the concrete dams. We should make a further study on the effect of seepage and temperature on the dam stress and displacement, as to make scientific measures to ensure the dams run safely and smoothly. This paper has taken Gong boxia hydropower station intake5#dam section as study object, using single stress field module, stress field and seepage field coupling module, and stress field and temperature field coupling module to build corresponding three-dimensional finite element analysis model by ABAQUS finite element large engineering software, separately, for numerical calculation of temperature field, stress field and displacement field of concrete dam.The effect of different water level to concrete dam displacement was analyzed to determine the plastic area, stress concentration area and maximum stress value area of dam and dam foundation, and obtained the variation character of cavitation pressure, uplift pressure and displacement with the water level change, studied the distribution law of the dam temperature field, stress field and displacement field. The results showed that, the temperature stress caused by cavitation pressure, uplift pressure and temperature change had great effect to the displacement of concrete dam. Then compared the calculated value to measured value of dam, analyzed the effect of seepage and stress, temperature and stress coupling action to dam operation. It revealed the reason for the placement of dam, providing an important basis for dam safety evaluation.
