Aircraft assembly is the key link of the aircraft development. Automation machine which canimprove the assembly efficiency, reduce manufacturing cost and ensure the quality of assembly iswidely used in aircaft assembly line. At present, the aircraft assembly using dedicated frame andrelying on manual connection, leads to poor quality and high cost. With the rapid development of theaircraft manufacturing, the aircraft automatic assembly become the development bottleneck of theaircraft manufacturing industry. A6-DOF drilling/milling machine tool is designed for therequirements of airplane assembly in the thesis. In order to improve the precision and efficiency ofrivet hole making on airplane assembly process, research and design of CNC system for the specialstructure and function of the the machine tool.In order to design the AC swing head, the assembly process of the riveting hole manufacturingprocess is researched. The motion of the machine tool is analyzed by homogeneous coordinatetransformation method. The software programming of the kinematics simulation implements thecorrectness of the result. The CNC system is constructed by6-axis motion control card which satisfythe requirements of this machine control system. The hardware parts of the wiring and debugging iscompleted. The human-computer interaction and NC code compiling of CNC system software isdesigned. The machining simulation and collision detection of the whole control system isresearched. The cutter library is established in simulation-system of CNC machining with analysis ofthe tools used in machining process. The tool swept volume is established in simulation-system ofCNC machining by researching the tool swept volume of milling process. The surface drilling andmilling simulation is completed by integrating the entire machining simulation module. Collisiondetection is implemented by two steps which are rough seizure and finishing. The traditionalbounding box is improved to create algorithm and separate shaft is used to realize collision detection.Detection algorithm between triangle primitives is researched and the process of machiningsimulation collision detection process is optimized to improve the efficiency of collision detection.The interpolation algorithm of motion control card is researched. The RTCP algorithmfunctions is realized in this CNC system.The tool axis vector interpolation algorithm of equivalentplane is studied to control tool orientation in the thesis. Processing simulation based on theinterpolation algorithm is done to ensure the quality and accuracy of five axis milling.
