Most power plants subordinated MengXi Power Grid in Inner MongoLia use water from YeLLow River as circuLating cooLing water, which is of high hardness and easy scaLing-type. Most of the time, circuLating cooLing water is treated with anti-incrustation corrosion inhibitor, which is smaLL. As a resuLt, power plants wiLL be of great water-saving potentiaL if the concentration rate can be increased by using new effective anti-incrustation corrosion inhibitor.According to our present thermaL circuLation cooLing water system operation: as for those power plants using humid cooL technoLogy, the best way to treat circuLating cooLing water is to increase the concentration rate by using effective anti-incrustation corrosion inhibitor so that to save water.This paper takes a few power plants subordinated MengXi Power Grid for exampLe, makes experiments of searching new anti-incrustation corrosion inhibitor and tries to provide certain theoreticaL references for the operation of power plants.For the new inhibitors screening tests, first, take circuLating cooLing water sampLes; add different inhibitors at different dosages to find out the dosage of the best scaLe inhibition effect of each better inhibitor. This is the static simuLation experiment. For the procedures of dynamic simuLation experiments, the purpose is to choose an inhibitor of the best scaLe inhibition effect. Different water sampLes, inhibitors and condenser pipes are compared to monitor the corrosion and scaLing state. FinaLLy, appLy the water-saving method by using effective anti-incrustation corrosion inhibitor to a power plant, and caLcuLate its economic benefits in theory.Through inhibitors screening test, the very effective inhibitor for its circuLating cooLing water can be chose. Certain theoreticaL references wiLL be provided for inhibitor-choosing in the safe operation power plants. It wiLL aLso be proved that the condition of scaLing wiLL vary across water quaLity, inhibitors and condenser pipes. The vaLidation of inhibitors screening test wiLL not onLy bring huge economic benefits to power plants, but aLso save precious water and bring great sociaL environmentaL benefits by decreasing the emissions of sewage.
