Automotive is a kind of transportation tool and a kind of consumable as well. With the development of society and economy, automotive have become to an inseparable partisan for human being. Meanwhile, the requirements for automotive comfort and safety are more and more strict. Now, the safety, environmental protection and energy saving become the main development direction for automotive technology. Automotive electronic parking brake (EPB) system as one of modern active safety applications is attracting more and more attention from the researchers. In this dissertation, the model of EPB system is built with Matlab/Simulink software, the simulation is carried out, and the control strategy for different working cases is discussed. Based on that, an EPB control system with basic function is designed.Firstly, the structure and the principle of the EPB system are analyzed using SIMULINK software. With PID controller, a closed-loop feedback control system for EPB is designed, and the effectiveness of PID controller is verified with simulation.Secondly, the MC9S12XS128 (16-bit microcontroller) is selected as the main processor of EPB system. For meeting the requirements of the EPB control system, the electronic circuit of control system is designed, including the minimum system microcontroller circuits, power supply and brake motor driver circuit, CAN communication circuit and so on. On the basis of above work, the circuit diagram is designed with Altium Designer and the PCB diagram is produced. The code of EPB control system is written with CodeWarrior software. Finally, an engine simulator is used for generating the sensor signals of engine for testing the function of EPB control system. The experiment is carried out with a self-designed EPB test bench. The results show that the control system can realize the basic function for controlling the parking brake. With further development, the EPB control system can be used in real application. |
