With the development of global economy, our company’s business is growing rapidly by 2 approaches, one is own brand, and the other is OEM. As the OEM fixture MFG group, our production lead time for fixture cannot meet the customer requirement because of the urgent request. In this case, we need to improve the fixture production process to meet market demandThis thesis will take the ATE vacuum fixture as example to analyze all the phases in current sequential process, find out the issues that need to be improved, and re-design each phase by means of multiple designer and multiple-machine production. Then compare the current process & new parallel process to get the time saved.With the implementation of concurrent engineering mode, we will use multiple machines to produce the parts to shorten the time & increase the efficiency. In order to optimize the production process, different machine will be chosen based on their actual tolerance. Thus the new process can be more cost-saving than old one.Finally, we will implement the parallel process on one ATE test fixture, which provides the data proof for this thesis by showing time & cost saving ability, increasing company’s competitiveness.
