Concurrent Engineering (CE) is a new developed technology which fully considers the constraints related to manufacture during product design stage, and evaluates the design of product and process entirely. The technology feeds back the relative improving information to ensure the one-off success of the productdesign, process design and manufacture, which can shorten the developingperiod, improve product quality and reduce costs effectively. According to the disadvantages of the injection product developing procedure, the theoiy and implementation of CE have been deeply studied. In aspect of the theory, the key technologies and implementation method of CE were stated in this paper. The conception of PDM and systematic structure were introduced. The relationship between PDM and CE were dicussed. Applying CE theory, the parallelism in developing process of injection product was investigated. Based on the graphic theory and design structure matrix, the development flow of injection product was planned and the organization model was reconstructed.Taking the design process of a computer case panel as an example, CE was applied to develop the actual project of injection products. The main contents are as follows: based on Pro/INTRALINK, the product data management system which supported CE was built up and customized according to actual conditions; in PDM environment, the injection product and mold were concurrently designed by CAD software, and the design procedure was fed back by CAE software. The systematic working model which integrated all of corresponding sub-process was built up.In the final part, the research work was summarized and the main research results of the thesis were concluded; meanwhile, the directions for further study were pointed out.In the end, the conclusions of whole thesis were made up, and the directions of further developing of this study were pointed out.
