With the development of economy, the information of product labeling is becoming more and more important. In order to improve the enterprise’s management level, the inkjet is widely applied to industrial production, at the same time, the demand for the machines performance is becoming higher. Therefore, this paper researched and designed the control system of continuous inkjet printer which based on double ARM architecture.Firstly, the paper introduces the history and the principle of machine. Then through the analysis and research, an overview of design scheme is given. In order to improve the performance of the machine, the architecture based on double ARM is adopted in the designing. The paper introduces the control system from two aspects in detail, the hardware and software. The part of hardware include some modules, such as the power supply module, the charging module, the drive of crystal module, the DC high voltage module and the ink flow control module. The above modules are described and the circuit diagrams are given in the paper. The software part mainly includes the designing of the information editing function, phase detection algorithm implementation, algorithm of printing data processing.The designing of this control system adopt the scheme of double CPU. Depending on the real-time demand of different modules, a processor is responsible for handling the tasks which have a low demand for real-time, such as human-computer interaction, the generating dot matrix information, system parameter detection, alarm and so on. While the tasks which have a higher real-time requirement, such as the phase detection, the control of charging and ink flow, are handled by the other processor. By adopting this architect, the machine has a higher performance. For example, when users make operation with the machine, such as editing the information or checking the parameters of the system, the processing of the printing will not be affected, because the other processor is responsible for the printing. The information interaction between the two processors is realized via the serial port.
