Insulating glass is widely used in construction field with the advantage of energy conservation and environmental protection. The market demands of insulating glass enlarged with the increasing requirement of building energy saving. The aluminum spacer automatic bending machine should have better performance. In allusion to the shortcomings of the existing bending machine, such as high cost, high power consumption, couldn’t realize remote monitoring, a high automatic control system with monitoring for bending machine based on WinCE was proposed by adopting new technology. The main contents of this paper were listed as follows:(1) The main hardware of the control system was designed. Touch screen computer based on WinCE operation system was used as the host computer, the hardware platform was built with the motion control card and the wireless communication module;(2) The wireless communication module with SIM900A was designed based on GSM/GPRS technology, and the remote monitoring system for bending machine was developed;(3) Aluminum spacer automatic bending process flow was researched, the application software was developed, multiple aluminum frames could be processed by this system, and the manufacture management was achieved;(4) The application program interface with remote monitoring and the fault diagnosis software package were developed based on WinCE operating system. The remote communication between monitoring center and bending machine was achieved.The bending process was realized by this bending machine control system, and the functions of remote monitoring and fault diagnosis were achieved. The control system is reliable and cheap, could meet the requirements of the aluminum spacer bending machine.
