River, as the key components of urban ecosystem,plays a main role in the ecologicalconstruction with the development of economy and the improvement of people’s livingstandard.However,along with the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization,theriver has suffered more and more serious pollution, which is harmful to human health andecological environment.Benxi Segment of Taizi River is the main receiving water of the water pollutants.Withthe continuous development of Benxi city’s economy, Taizi River has received a growingnumber of pollutants, and at the same time, the surrounding ecological environment is alsodeteriorating.Implementation methods and practical significance of the urban river restorationprogram in this thesis will be carried out in-depth study.The thesis collected Benxi Segment ofTaizi River’s hydrological data, industrial water pollution data,agricultural water pollutiondata and urban water pollution data,analysised Benxi Segment of Taizi River’s dischargepollutants and predicted new water pollutants during the year2010-2015based on Benxicity’s economic development and population growth.And then it determinated thecomprehensive environmental control principle and target from water sourceprotection, river dredging,pollution source management, ecological embankment constructionand landscape design.It also predicted program implement effects and the funds neededand offer protection from the management, organization and funding so that it can reach thegoal of improving water quality and ecological environment,which will provid localgovernment a scientific basis for decision-making in the water environment governance.
