Automatical Tool Changer is High Speed Machining Center’s important functional component,its main function is that decreases no-cutting time when processes and errors by mainly times clamping. That can increase productivity, decrease cost of production and then increase productivity of hole product line. At the moment, fashional High Speed Machining Centre’s Automatic Tool Changer, convex globoidal cam is crucial part. Compare with foreign technology, we have not solved some key technologies, such as selecting fine motion curve, reliability of mechanism, design of cam, precise process of cam and so on. Moreover, Convex globoidal cam’s process is difficult, cost is high, maintenance cost is also not to be neglcted.In order to process High Speed Machining Centre’s key component, this paper is to design a High Speed Machining Centre’s Automatic Tool Changer. The research work includes of the design of new type High Speed Machining Centre’s Automatic Tool Changer, the design of the follwoer’s movement rule, modeling and motion simulation analysis and so on.This paper mainly completed the work as follow:First,Base on theory analysis, prosenting design scheme. Mainly include of designing mechanism of Automatic Tool Changer, designing motion circulating chart, analysing and selecting cam’s movement rule and so on;Then,Modeling, assembling. Using three-dimensional software Pro/Engingeer to mode and assemble of Automatic Tool Changer.Last, simulating and analysising to verify this system’s motion performance meets the requirement.
